If you have not seen the profiles of the candidates for Pastoral Council election posted in the foyer of the church, they are printed in this weekends bulletin as well. Please take time to peruse them and to learn about each of the five men who have offered to stand for election. Next weekend before Mass, we will conduct the election for two positions. I am grateful for each of them for coming forward and offering themselves. It is unusual that there are no women candidates this year; we cannot understand it and certainly did not plan it. The Council needs to be a broad representation of parishioners, and we are always hoping to see our parish diversity present at the Council table. However, it is always a free-will decision and so we have to allow people the freedom to step forward or not. When you run into the five men who have come forward this year, please thank them for being available. - Fr. Pat
