Gooles captain Karl Colley totally lost it after being sent off in a game against Coalville, and stormed onto the terracing in an attempt to confront a fan who had alledgedly been barracking him. The incident ironically happened 19 years to the day after the infamous Eric Cantona kung fu kick atr a Crystal Palace fan after he too was abused after being sent off. The club have now sacked Colley, and in the aftermath of the situation, manager David Holdsworth has left the club as well. A statement from the club has made clear that the two events are not linked. Holdsworth has been replaced by his assistant Curtis Woodhouse, the former Middlesbrough player - and professional boxer. One thinks players may be a bit more reluctant to step out of line now.
