If you havent voted yet (and you should, polls close at 7pm) - please take the time to read this article. As my friend Russ mentioned in sharing the article, it shouldve come out much earlier. I mentioned yesterday that Age and Amnesty were the two biggest reasons why I was casting a vote for Chris McDaniel (and Ive added to that my fiscal convictions since being told a vote against Cochran would strip the State of much-needed federal funding - only shoring up my decision to vote for McDaniel). This article addresses Age - and once again reminds me that common sense and conscience are right most of the time. Ive already mentioned this in a previous post, but I once watched Strom Thurmond be escorted around the capital office building by staffers with a lost look on his face, being forced to shake hands and nod at foreign investors. He clearly had no interest in what he was doing - and it made me question the voters of South Carolina for continuously electing the man (other reasons obviously existed for not electing Strom). If we have any respect for Senator Cochran, why would we put him through the same thing? Are his handlers simply having him go through the motions only to have him hold the place for a political appointment in a few years? I very much appreciate Senator Cochrans service, but its time for a change. Russ mentioned in his posting of the article that he felt sad for Senator Cochran after reading this article. I agree completely with him, and Im sick that there appear to be intentions other than the good of the State (or the wishes of Senator Cochran himself) at work here. For those still with me (I know Im long-winded today), please understand that the thoughts above are my own - and read the article. I think most will probably finish with the same view of this campaign - and why Age is something that should be considered.
