If you knew it was going to be the last time you were ever going - TopicsExpress

If you knew it was going to be the last time you were ever going to speak to someone, How would you act? What would you say? Would you forgive and forget? Would you make sure that person knew how you felt? For me I was given that opportunity exactly 1 year ago. I didn’t know at the time that I was talking to Jane for the last time, but I am so thankful I did the right thing. Jane had a rough night the night before. The only way I can describe the way she was acting was HATEFUL. I was fed up and I needed to leave and get some fresh air and more positive surroundings. As I was leaving she asked for a hug and a kiss. I immediately told her NO. I said after the way you have treated me the last couple of days, I don’t want to hug or kiss you. She began to cry and explain to me that I didn’t understand what she was going through. She said she didn’t mean to take all her frustration out on me and that she was sorry. I realized at that moment it didn’t matter how she treated me, I still loved her and she was just sick and it wasn’t her fault. I gave her a huge hug and a big kiss. I am SO THANKFUL I did that when I did. I would not be able to forgive myself if I would not have forgiven her and held that against her. I just pray today, while we all have that opportunity, if there is a person in your life that you have not forgiven, call them, text them, email them, or even write them a letter and let them know you are sorry, or that you forgive them. Forgiveness is for YOU, not the other person. You have no control over their reaction, but you are responsible for your actions and you are the one that has to live with the guilt of not doing it You want to get this done now before it is too late. Luckily for me, I was able to do it before it was too late. I want to make sure everyone else has that opportunity as well. And ALWAYS remember God is Good… ALL THE TIME
