If you know me at all, you know I am pro-Jewish. Have always been. Theres so much more to say about that and why these times tear my heart out, but my faith journey is something to talk about another day. I am so upset about what the state of Israel is doing. Every nation gets to defend itself. How often do we have to watch one people go so far to defend itself that it seeks to eliminate another people? When do we start calling it genocide? Theres defense and then theres slaughter, and the madness has gone so far that I have to call it out. Ive known all my life that the Jews are a chosen people. Ive wondered all my life: chosen for what? Now I know. They are chosen for this moment, right now. To stand up for peace and justice or succumb to madness and slaughter. I see individuals making and proclaiming their choices. I see groups of individuals making and proclaiming their choices. I see nations failing to even decently address this. Remember. Remember. Remember. Never again. God forbid that you do what was done to you. Surrender your excuses and justifications. If you have to explain why its right, its not right. I pray for the Zionist souls, for their children, for their childrens children. What they do now marks them forever. The descendants of others who have done this can testify: there is a stain of shame for generations. Stop. I know people are gonna go nuts in the comments. May as well let them. Some of my friends and family members are going to shun and vilify me, and well no longer be friends. Thats a consequence I have to accept. I just can sit here and be silent.
