If you know me at all, you know I have a huge burden on my heart for foster kids. Ive been especially concerned lately about where I fall in advocating for and helping foster kids now that Cam and I dont have our license anymore. Ive prayed for an opportunity to reach orphans in Stark county while raising my 4 kids, not fostering, and having limited availability to volunteer. Today, Riley came into the kitchen where I was cleaning and said, some people just randomly came into our yard. Of course I quickly ran out to see what was going on. Sure enough there were two girls Id never seen before jumping on our trampoline. About this time my neighbor caught my attention. He explained that he had just been given temporary custody of his granddaughter and her two half siblings. They had seen my daughters and their friends playing outside and wanted to join them so he sent them over to ask if they could play. I ended up making lunch for both of them and talking with them a little bit. I prayed for an opportunity to minister to foster kids, and foster kids showed up in my back yard. Coincidence? I think not.
