If you know me, you know Im a huge baseball fan, and a huge Yankee fan. Having said that, if you know Yankee fans, they generally arent so keen on the Boston Red Sox. However, without supporting the Red Sox in their bid for their shot at the World Series, I will say congratulations to Monmouth Beachs own John Farrell. Im sitting here watching him on TV and thinking how exciting it must be to be him tonight. A regular guy, whose dad knew my dad, whose grandfather knew my grandfather (they actually ran against each other for some local office, according to my dad), who went to my high school and played baseball there, who still goes into Boyles in Monmouth Beach when hes in town, who still has friends and family there. Outstanding, John Farrell, and kudos to you! I for one am proud of you and happy for you. And, Molly Farrell MacStudy and Mike Macstudy, how does it feel to be you guys lately?! This must be beyond thrilling!! :)
