If you know of anyone applying to college right now for the 14/15 academic year, Early Decision (ED) is in effect. Remember that if you apply ED, you will sign a binding contract that you are not applying anywhere else because that one school is the one you want regardless of finances! If ED isnt for you, consider regular decision. Those application deadlines are coming up soon with most schools. Dont assume that one institution does the same as others. Check their websites for their specific requirements. Also check their special resource area for applicants every week for missing requirements until you get your offer of admission AND financial aid which may not come together. Stay on top of it because missing deadlines can cost you free money.
