This is an annual Labor Day Weekend celebration of African American culture as expressed through art, music, dance, food and community. Celebrate The AACF’s 5th Year Anniversary of teaching, sharing, and celebrating the traditions of African Americans here in NC and from around the world. This event is free and open for all to enjoy! The Main Stage The Main Stage is the performance venue in City Plaza full of extraordinary local and nation-wide talent. This is the stage where The Bar-Kays, A Taste of Honey – Featuring Janice Marie, and the Zapp Band performs, along with the other fabulous local entertainment North Carolina and the Triangle arts scene has to offer. There is something for everyone on this stage - jazz, reggae, blues, rock, hip hop, gospel, neo-soul, funk and much more! Family Village The African American Cultural Festival Family Village is a great place for festival goers of all ages to have a fun, educational, hands-on experience. Enjoy creating something of your own in the Make-and-Take craft tents, and bring home your very own artwork. Vendor Marketplace The Vendor Marketplace lines both sides of Fayetteville street with tents full of unique products sold by individual market vendors. Browse the variety of clothing, accessories, jewelry, natural bath products, home decor and much more. The African American community has a long history of entrepreneurship - come support small business owners and see what the Vendor Marketplace has to offer. Art Gallery Walk The Art Gallery Walk lines both sides of Fayetteville Street with tents displaying original art created by artists from North Carolina and across the country. Stroll along the street; be inspired by the plethora of paintings, jewelry, photography, sculptures, and mixed media art that the festival has to offer.
