If you look at Phoenix’ intake picture, you can tell that it hasn’t been too long since she’s had pups. But where those pups are is anybody’s guess. Armani and her housemate, Armani - A0989811 were abandoned together in Staten Island and no one has come for them. Its likely that getting regular food, a warm place to sleep and not having yet another litter to care for has been a temporary relief for Phoenix. But no doubt, she misses her housemate Armani who went through whatever she went through with her. In a perfect world, Phoenix and Armani would go off together somewhere to start to learn how a dog is really supposed to live. But ACC has decided that Phoenix has to go and they’ve put her on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. So tonight, Phoenix must be the priority. Behaving like the little lady she is, Phoenix was found to be in reasonably good health though its likely she’ll need a good vet checkup. Phoenix won’t be asking for much but then she may not know what she’s supposed to be getting as part of a new family. And when she finds that special someone who will show her what her world should have been like all along, she will give doggie kisses by the droves—are you ready for that? If you are, then step up to foster or adopt Phoenix. But do it quick. Tomorrow, ACC will treat Phoenix like so many “throwaway” moms are treated—they’ll make her gone forever.
