If you love Spocks Beard as I do (which I would imagine you do since youre in this forum), :) this man truly needs no introduction. As Dave Meros songwriting partner for the past several decades (even long preceding their tenure with SB), this man has written and co-written a catalogue of Spocks songs himself after Neal Morses departure from the band in 2002. From Feel Euphoria, hes written classics such as Ghosts of Autumn; from Octane ~ Of The Beauty Of It All, The Ballet of the Impact, Surfing Down the Avalanche, She is Everything; All Thats Left, The Slow Crash Landing Man and Hereafter; From SB9 ~ As Far As The Mind Can See and Skeletons at the Feast; From SBX ~ Their Names Escape Me, The Quiet House and Jaws of Heaven; And, from BNaDS ~ A Treasure Abandoned, I Know Your Secret and the STELLAR ~ Something Very Strange and MANY more!! The songs Ive just mentioned just happen to be personal faves of mine and, in my humble opinion, have stood the test of time and will never get old, at least for me. If youre not familiar with any of them or even all of the other songs hes written, I strongly encourage you to check them out. You can find Spocks Beards complete discography on the homepage at spocksbeard/discography.html and all over YouTube/spocksbeard . The video Im sharing now is not an official SB video, but so what?! ;) The images pair so magnificently with this song, that I felt compelled to share its beauty with all of you. It was co-written by Alan, and I believe that it speaks for itself. More than likely, you will never hear the band perform it live. Ever!! So, with no further adieu ~ I would like to wish a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to none other than Mr. John Boegehold ~ songwriter, multi-instrumentalist , Thai connoisseur ;) and friend.
