If you love the person than fight for them help them especially if they are wanting to help themselves. You have to leave the past in the past and cannot belittle the person for mistakes they have made. Realize that you too are not perfect and have thugs which you need to work on as well. No one is perfect so only God can judge. Its not easy to change so dont make it hard on someone who is trying to right wrongs in their life. If you truly love someone you will focus on their good points and not their bad ones. If you love someone you dont leave them at their bottom, if they realize things they need to change and have finally reached the point where they are trying and asking for your help in doing it you stick by them!!!!!
