If you missed Bible Study tonight, Id say you missed out on a lesson that we all needed to hear. If you were there but didnt feel the message pertained to you, Id say you may be in denial! We talked about what this Christian walk should look like and the tools needed to be successful in your walk like lowliness (humility), meekness (gentleness), longsuffering (patience) and forbearance (dealing with one another in love). Pastor Jackson warned us we couldnt be sensitive while receiving this lesson, and I believe everyone was ready for the truth. And the truth is, we all have areas we need to work on.. Whether its learning to be more humble so we can be useful, learning to be more gentle so we dont run ppl off by chopping their heads off when they arent quite where we are yet, learning to be more patient with God AND people, or learning to deal with each other in love, even if they dont love us first! Being proud, harsh, impatient, and unloving are all symptoms of the same disease...SIN! But what is a church if not a hospital for sin-sick souls? We got a dose of strong medicine tonight at GTMBC! We thank God for our pastor delivering sound teaching, straight from the book!
