If you missed it, this weeks Food Unwrapped programme on sugar confirmed that its really difficult to avoid added sugar as it is now found in both processed (smoked salmon) and unprocessed (natural muesli) foods. The distinction between intrinsic and extrinsic sugars seemed a bit convoluted but the clear message was that its much better to eat fruit whole rather than to juice it - you take in a lot (and therefore more frutose) when you drink it and at the same time lose out on the fibre content.
