If you missed last nights Miss Lillian Chok Paint - TopicsExpress

If you missed last nights Miss Lillian Chok Paint demonstration...be sure to come by before Sunday. Weve been lucky enough to have the display/shopping area kept in the store through the weekend. You can purchase paint, a few accessories, small furniture and even the lovely cupcake accessories. BUT TIME IS LIMITED! There is also a sign up sheet for house party demos and a VIP Clinic/Tutorial coming soon! Want to know the difference between specialty paints and regular, latex paint? 1. Regular paint requires sanding the piece down, priming it, then painting. Chalk paint requires little to no prep at all! 2. Regular paint is distress-able, but without any type of additional top coats, it can start to peal once the paint has been distressed. Chalk paint was made with distressing in mind! Not only is it easier to distress, it looks more natural once distressed. 3. Regular paint usually requires some sort of poly top coat if you really want it to last. Our “chock” paint has a built-in wax that finishes your piece for you! No extra steps, no messy liquids, no extra brushes, and no waxing. Sounding good, yet?Thjnk about the savings? 4. Regular paint takes multiple coats that take forever to dry. You could be waiting hours- and even days depending on what type of paint you use- before you are able to apply your next coat. Chalk paint dries rapidly, allowing you to finish your project in a fraction of the time. 5. Regular paint does cost about the same amount of money per gallon as chalk paint costs per quart. HOWEVER, you can paint multiple pieces with just one quart of our paint. One quart can paint up to about four or five pieces of furniture for us, depending on what we’re painting. Needless to say, a little goes a long way! 6.It is no-odour formula, which is very important for all painters. And it does not create the DUST like other formulas when sanding. A nice smooth finish is achieved every time and you wont need a fan or mask for your health.
