If you missed out on this week of EPIC local music, youre going to regret it forever. Two AMAZING nights happened at Club Orpheus! First, Friday night, it was The Tale Of Peter CottonKill! The bloody bunny, PCK MCed and rolled hard in the mosh pit. The first band up was Dead Roads. They channeled Zeppelin and Type O and melded their own powerful sound into the experience. Up next was Exemptus. This young and brash thrash metal group raised a storm with their fervor, calling thunder and lightning! Continuing that storm and thriving on it came Dead Gods. Their take on the art of black metal swept through the crowd, imparting an intensity that roared in the pit. Finally, Project Adyton stepped up. Their industrial and sultry sound brought down the house! Saturday, three lovely lady vocalists and their respective groups came together and seduced the crowd with dulcet tones and beautiful metal ballads for the event known as Sirens Song! Well known locals, On Standby honored us by playing their hearts out and leaving it all on stage! They gave the crowd all the rapture sung by the Sirens of the Greek mythos. Up next was Sweet Suicide. Cindy Parrs voice was pure seduction! Finally, wrapping up the night with a pure heavy metal sound, Down Society roared in. At the end of their set, you felt your heart break that there couldnt be just one more song. Next week at the O, Friday Night is the Reunion of the Raven: DJ Skullkid hosts a night of EDM Djs. Then a continuation of the Pirate Invasion of Fells Point, Club Orpheus hosts the Pirates Ball! Hardcore Whaler will be singing and Taschen will be dancing for your entertainment. We here at Club Orpheus would like to thank all of the musicians who came in and showed us their heart and soul through their art. We also would like to thank the Miss Tattooed Baltimore Pageant for working with us to promote underground music. To Bronson and Cindy Parr, thank you for helping to put these shows together and continuing to work towards the revitalization of the Underground in Baltimore. Finally, we want to thank you, our patrons for the continuing support. We would not be able to put on shows like this without your support!
