If you missed the impromptu meeting last night after service, we made a pretty big announcement last night. Beginning this Monday morning, we will begin Phase 1 of our Bathroom / Foyer / Stair Remodel Project. We are able to go ahead and jump on the project due our receiving of two anonymous donations totaling $9,500. The expected budget for this project is $9,500 and God has supplied the provision. As with any project, things can fluctuate, but we will be working to come in right at budget, if not below. Pastor Ryan gave a copy of the budget to members last night and also showed a before and after rough sketch image to the congregation. Monday morning, work will begin on retreading and shaping our stairs to make them safer. In addition, they will redirected so that the entrance for the stairs will now be located in the social hall instead of the back foyer. The back foyer space will be used in its entirety for our new mens and womens bathroom and a hallway into the social hall. Phase 2 of the project will call for sheetrocking our foyer / new foyer walls and bathroom walls where able. Phase 3 will have us knocking out the old bathrooms, running plumbing, sheetrocking, and laying tile again where needed. Over the next few weeks, we ask that you pardon our progress, or as Pastor Ryan said last night, pardon our blessing. We plan to have everything done in the next few weeks and will look at dedicating everything at our Homecoming Celebration on Sunday, October 12th with Rev. James Evans, former youth pastor at Bell Street Church of God and current pastor of World Harvest Church of God in Waycross, GA. We will be uploading pictures all throughout the project so you can stay up to date on whats taking place. Were very excited about this project and so very thankful that the Lord has allowed us to do this and so much more in such a short time!
