If you missed tonights launch party for The Roar of the Crowd, you missed a major celebration of Edmontons writing, theatre and arts scenes. A full house experienced an incredibly moving intro from Audreys Books Ltd. co-owner Sharon Budnarchuk as well as a very dramatic reading, a book signing, a Freewill Shakespeare Festival ticket giveaway, a book signing, wine, refeshments, and so much fun. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make this a magical summer evening. And to everyone else, where were you? We need to pack the house for the events to support the scene, to support local book stores, and to show that these are fun events that can be enjoyed by all.
