If you read my first post this week, then you picked up on the fact that you cant under any circumstances swim in the Plitvice Lakes. However, the Plitvice Lakes are part of the Korana River, and you can swim in the Korana River. The River starts at the Lakes, but then forms a 25 kilometers long border between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina near Cazin. From there it flows northwards through Croatia, where it finally reaches the river Kupa at Karlovac If you want to get the heart pumping, then consider something more active than swimming. Part of the river is known for easy white water rafting runs. So while they lakes are ideal for natural beauty, spending a day on the river downstream is a fun day for all people.
