If you read one thing today, please take couple minutes to read the story of Vanessa Morales. Ive never met her but she became a supporter of One Days Wages couple weeks ago when she created a birthday campaign. She was turning 25 on July 12. However, she passed away tragically in a car accident on July 4. Her goal was to raise $500 to help children with education and the outpouring of support from her friends and community have been amazing. But honestly, its not about the donations. Ive been personally challenged, inspired, and compelled by the hundreds of comments, notes, and prayers that have flooded in. So inspired that ODW has decided to start a special Vanessa Morales Fund. Her life reminds me of this quote from Abraham Lincoln: In the end, its not the years in your life that count. Its the life in your years. Finally, say a prayer for me. I am flying to Houston to speak at Vanessas funeral tonight. Please pray that I may console and comfort the Morales family and that I may - even in the midst of this tragedy - bear witness to Christ who makes all things possible.
