If you really look you can see even in some of the most apparently Egoic behavior an effort to wake up, or our true nature in drag. Take gossip for example. On one level it looks like the Ego delighting in the foibles of others. On another level consciousness is simply progressing and becoming aware, albeit in a manner the Ego can accept through projection. Look how screwed up *they are! My nature is more loving. Our hatred is really no different. If you look at what we hate the source of it is usually our love. Would outrage and hatred over police killings have a source without love for innocents? Hatred for unscrupulous gurus? Concern for the unwise or gullible. Islamic Terrorism? Love twisted and misshapen by memories of injustice and poverty. Righteous anger gone awry. Would our disdain for politicians have a root cause without our love of truth? Perhaps they love power, and what is not to love when it is exercised wisely? We can run but we cannot hide from this. Love will have its day in the sun, and without hiding.. Wouldnt life be delicious if humanity could express its nature directly, rather than as a backlash based on memory and the past?
