If you remember that success is not always a team sport, then you will not be surprised or disappointed when all of the people who tried to dissuade you from taking that expensive class that would better your technical, creative, or business skills now want to know EXACTLY what you learned. They want to borrow your notes. They want you to teach them what was taught to you because they would never ever actually invest in themselves with their own money. Oh yes they will complain, and now because you wont tell them what you learned they might even try to badmouth you, say that you are not a team player, or that you think you are better than them. Just brush it off and keep it moving! This will not be the first nor the last time that you will encounter this kind of negative behavior because as I said earlier, being successful is not always a team sport. Its not basketball, or football, or soccer its #freelancing as a #makeupartist, #hairstylist, #fashionstylist, or #manicurist and it must be done alone. Seek first to understand and then be understood. Look instead to your community of other [like-minded] freelance artists--the ones who get you, who push you, and want to see you succeed. You know, the ones who tell you you can do it no matter what the odds. The year is coming to an end. Its time to get rid of the dead weight.
