If you should still require evidence that the ISIL attempt at forming a Caliphate is pure horsepucky, just a transparent excuse for psychotics, religious fanatics and the mentally under-oxygenated to murder and rampage, consider this: If they should somehow form their looney-tues caliphate, a country, a separate socio political entity based on sharia law -- THEN WHAT? Do they open trade negotiations with the rest of the world? Establish a national airline? Join the World Bank? Send a delegation to the United Nations? Enter their team in the World Cup? Found a Stock Market? Build museums, universities, hospitals; refurbish cities, create a credible physical infrastructure? Those murdering slime exist for only one purpose: to do the will of Evil and insanity. They are truly demonic and we MUST stop them, right now, with a full court press, including American ground troops. Not cosmetic pitty-pat little gestures like air strikes and training Iraqi troops (after TEN YEARS they are still not trained -- why do we think we can now suddenly convert spineless, unmotivated peasants who hate the US into battle-ready soldiers? I repeat, if you want to punch a bad guy, you do NOT do it one finger at a time; you swing the entire fist. You can NOT leap over a 10-foot chasm in increments of 1 foot. What we need is not mission creep, but mission LEAP, and if President Obama wants to preserve some small shred of respect from our conservative colleagues, he must act now, with commitment, with force and with no mercy for ISIL.
