If you show up solely to BE A DICK and tell me how Im stupid, irresponsible, and months away from picking out a tiny coffin for my baby (yeah, that was a real comment, yall)....that is YOUR BAGGAGE talking. If you have some burning need to fight about the pros & cons of homebirth, take it somewhere else. I published this because it was an easy way to tell the 8 people who read my site regularly (hi, family!) that we are having a homebirth. This post is not a forum for people to come shit all over my intent to have my baby at home. I didnt cite facts, its not a position paper. Its not my treatise on Why Homebirth Is Better. Its my announcement that *we* have chosen this *for us*....thats it. I dont know where this ended up being shared, but ENOUGH with the crappy comments. If this rubs you the wrong way, go read something you find to be more aligned with your own views. To the people whove shown up and left their positive homebirth stories, whove left comments citing evidence in the wake of the comments picking fights...thank you. It really does mean a lot and the positive comments make the noise from the jackholes worth it.
