If you sin, how does that affect HIM? If your sins are many, what does that do to HIM? 7 If you are righteous, what do you give to HIM, or what does HE receive from your hand? 8 Your wickedness only affects humans like yourself, and your righteousness only other people-Elihu. Hebrews 4:15,For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. John 3:16,For God so loved the world that HE gave HIS one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. So can GOD be touched by the affairs of men? Yes, absolutely, and emphatically YES! Scriptures clearly speaks of the unsearchable, and incontestable supremacy, the sovereignty of GOD. It speaks against human conceit, and emphasis that GOD is the Source. Our ability both to will and desire for HIS good pleasure is from HIM, so depending on self is a grave error that none of us can afford. We understand scripture through scripture; and we know that by the arm of flesh shall no man prevail, and our effort to be righteous on our own is a futile attempt. Jesus also clearly told us that our trust must remain in and on GOD not our good works. Have you heard any Elihu telling you lately that the righteousness of man attributes nothing to GOD? Well thats Elihu and he is wrong. I believe that the wrath of man doesnt fulfill the righteousness of GOD, but the righteousness of man is a by product of the grace of GOD. Sin is a reproach (that reproach can malign GOD to those HE seeks to save), whilst righteousness exalts a nation (and GOD is glorified). Romans 12:1 says, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of GOD, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto GOD, which is your reasonable service. Our praise and worship to GOD is our committed life of righteous doing, (something GOD is always well pleased at), this righteous life of man is a by product of HIS grace at work in us. If we dont love our fellow men how can we say we love GOD? , so showing compassion to our fellow human being is one way we affect GOD. He also said that whatever we do to the least amongst us we do to HIM. Ah! I insist that GOD is touched by what we do. And if we love HIM, we would do right.
