If you take away the culture then youre left with a soulless and dry community. For many young people these are the things that motivate them to even attend school in the first place. Learning through music engages a young person to develop self discipline, cognitive skills, team work, problem solving, multi-functional skills and most importantly develops to the ability to communicate. The most important thing in life is to communicate and music has its backbone in this.
