If you think an autistic child is by definition neurologically underdeveloped, unable to express, then this video will prove you wrong! Jason McElwain had been shooting hoops for the last three years and has developed some skills, as does anyone who practices at anything. Just like any basketball player, you have to find your range and that is what happens here. This special kid was put into a special situation and he made it look easy. The fact hes autistic makes this moment even sweeter. This just shows that children with autism arent as different as we think. This story is really about acceptance and overcoming challenges. There is nothing wrong with keeping hope alive and its unfortunate that people feel the need to turn this video into something its not.
