If you think getting a great certificate will guarantee billion dollar income tomorrow, then you may consider thinking differently after reading this article. I took time to do my ground work and the results were all so amazing. Since the richest man on the globe did not finish college, we have a clue of what its now all about. With the ever growing pool of college applicants in Nigeria and beyond, I think it is most sapient if a sound post on this topic is made. Once and for all, let people get the opportunity to determine their destinies and design their future. Let me quickly write about a number of men that heave defied convention and dazzled the earth in means unimaginable and wonderful. BILLIONAIRES THAT DIDNT ATTEND OR FINISH COLLEGE 1. Richard Branson This man discovered the importance of following ones dream to whatever level it takes one to. He dropped out of school at the age of 16 to build his empire. Today, he owns over 200 companies which include airlines, mobile phones etc. He worths $6.8 billion . 2. Amancio Ortega He left school at 14 to work for mum and dad pop shirt stores. Today he owns global brands such as Zara and worths $31 billion, making him the richest man in Spain. 3. Kirk Kerkorian He left school in eighth grade to pursue a career in boxing and today worths 43.1 billion. How happy he must be now. 4. Steve Jobs Due to financial stress, he dropped out of school to seek a greener pasture. Fortune smiled on him and he gave us inventions like Apple computers, NeXT computers and Pixar. 5. Henry Ford Ford dropped out at 15 to work in his fathers farm. Without education, this man managed to get into the automobile business, employ graduates, manage professionals and give us the best of cars as at then. Without education you can still make it. 6. Bill Gates On discovering he had more prospects in microsoft than in Harvard, he followed his dream and today, the rich all bow to his $78 billion fortune. 7. Mark Zuckerberg You know his story right? He founded Facebook in February 4, 2004. He currently worths $27.9 billion dollars. Facebook as a company worths over $150 billion. Since he has 500 million shares in the company, and each share valued at $61, he has $31 billion dollars in shares. Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! 8. Thomas Edison His teachers said he was unteachable because he was too dull. hence, he was homeschooled by his mother, and he was self-taught as well. But do not forget he is the greatest inventor the world has seen. He gave us the phonograph and light bulb; so much from someone that only had 3 months of formal education. 9. Orji Uzor Kalu This man is practicably the 4th richest man in Nigeria today. He was suspended from school (University of Maiduguri) when he took part in an anti-minister (of education) protest. He then started trading in palm oin with $35 initial capital which he borrowed from his mother. He refused to return even when pardoned - he had found a calling. Today, he owns the SLOK conglomerate of various multinational companies. Others investments include Daily Sun Newspapers and First International Bank. It was ironic to witness the same college that suspended him confer on him a honorary degree after he proved to them that education is merely a means not the end. 10. You! You!! You!!! Are you unable to make it to school? Are you uncomfortable with what you are doing in college? Are you ambivalent about dropping out due to circumstances? Are you afraid your friends may mock your financial stress if you drop out? Forget what people think! They are mere opinions and nothing more. The truth is that by the time a student that opted for a 6 year long course, perhaps a medically related degree, is done the canny business oriented student is already a baron and is in the position to employ his classmates. If Edison did it in the industrial era, how much more you in the information era
