If you truly want the best for your family pet then get them spayed or neutered. This is the time of year that many animals run away in search of their spring love :-) By having them spayed or neutered you reduce the urge to leave and breed. As a volunteer at the WCAS I have seen way too many male dogs in the shelter who are simply there because they left their homes looking for love in all the wrong places. I have also seen way too many cats abandoned or surrendered to the shelter that are not spayed and neutered thus creating a huge cat population in Wexford County. Please do your part and get them spayed and neutered as soon as possible. There is help for that you know!!!! Wonderland Humane Society of Wexford County is more than happy to assist. There are applications at the WCAS. If you want to be a responsible pet owner, then you need to be responsible enough to do your part, PLEASE help your animal stay home:-) Judy/volunteer :-)
