If you use Google services and have 2-step verification in place, just know that so much as a discharged cell phone will brick your accounts. There is no 2-step verification method that does not require a phone. I am locked out of my cloud storage until I replace my phone, and am having to start over on work tasks I nearly completed yesterday in order to meet deadlines. As a result, I plan to migrate over to the Windows Phone ecosystem. This is my last ditch effort at finding a smartphone platform before reverting back to a feature set.
