If you use chopsticks to eat while others use forks and spoons, what do you feel? To each his own. My cultural habit versus yours. Any better answer? No. Only when cultures cross paths, do we employ our common sense and give respect to others. We can exchange our chopsticks with forks and spoons and eat just as well and have fun too. Culturally speaking, no one culture is above another unless a certain trait has interrupted the mores of society. If I insist on doing a certain task my way to enjoy it, others could just observe and admire. Follow or reject it, as you deem fit. A lot of perception was made based on wrongful assumptions and thus deviating viewpoints. Everyone is proud of his culture by right. Thats positive. A different culture cannot hurt you much less annihilate you. If youre hurt or offended, ask or move away. Learn to find out more about the whys. Dont speak too early or too much. Always the answer to a cultural situation or issue takes a long time to unwind to explain exhaustively. Be patient and be wise. Dont jump into a pool unless youve tested the waters. An alligator may be lurking in it. Humans are different from animals simply because weve cultures but they dont. Enjoy your culture. Enjoy others cultures too!
