If you walk into a pound at any one time and look around at all the cats and dogs, be aware that, statistically, 4 out of every 10 dogs you see will be euthanised, and 8 out of 10 cats! If the worst was to happen and YOUR lost pet was to make it to the pound, if circumstances dont go their way they may not make it out alive :( PetRescue - a FREE, online-web based charity that matches potential pet adopters to pets looking for homes, is only utilised by 1% of pounds!
