If you want to enter a new level of intimacy with Christ, its important to under that we are only changed through time spent with our creator. Its in these times of intimacy when you will truly open in fully vulnerability and allow deep spiritual cleansing and healing to come forth. True intimacy can not be rushed or placed on a timer. Even your earthly relationships can only develop through time spent together, your relationship with Christ is no different. If you desire to experience Jesus in a supernatural way, if you desire to experience Him in all His splendor and glory. If you want to be changed and transformed in a single moment, it will only occur through intimacy. This was a valuable piece of wisdom I lacked throughout most of my walk with Christ, it was the missing link to the relationship my spirit longed for with Jesus. I now live my spiritual walk on a whole new level ... one that thrives in intimacy, vulnerability, grace and freedom. I could just bask in His glory all day long, its so delightful here. How many years, I walked with Him and never experienced what He so longed to experience with me, because I failed to spend time with Him. I rushed through my prayer life, I left no time for Him to speak or even respond, I said what I came to say, by either asking for what I needed or thanking him for what He had done or was going to do (by faith) and then ended the conversation. It was a one sided affair. (Like those friends who only ever come to you when they need something from you, or they want to meet for lunch or coffee but then they do ALL the TALKING and NONE of the LISTENING) ya, that was ME with JESUS! And because of that I only ever got exactly what I needed, nothing less, nothing more. I had a survivalist mentality in my walk with Christ, I got just enough to be satisfied. Because of who God is, a loving Father, He was ALWAYS faithful to take care of me, but we didnt have intimacy. I had no clue what that even meant with Christ or how one would experience that. Because I left no time for such an experience. It was all about ME. How many of you can relate to this, if youre truly honest with yourself? Do you have intimacy with Christ? Do you know Him on that level? Do you spend time in silence, allowing Him to have His way? Do you let Him into your brokenness? Do you allow Him into the places youve hidden from yourself? Have you given Him time to speak and move through you? Do you dedicate time to exploring him through His word? What do you really give as a dedication to Christ? What have you sacrificed for Him? How do you unveil yourself before Him?
