If you want to know what the Holy Spirit thinks about something, read the Bible. Scripture is His thoughts on paper. It doesnt get any clearer than that. You and I are not left to discern the mind of the Spirit through the presence or absence of peace and the voice of conscience alone. We have His thoughts on paper. The most unbalanced Christians I know are those who do not. It is that simple. I know people who wear their Christianity on their sleeves. Yet these same people are some of the poorest excuses for Christians I know. Their lives are governed by their emotions. One day they are up; the next day they are down. They make bad decisions. Their relationships are always in turmoil. Their marriages are a mess. And yet every other word has something to do with God. Praise the Lord this and Praise the Lord that.
