If you want to make a difference on the addiction problem then we ask you to support Recovery Group of Southern WV. Many organizations and government systems like to have monthly meetings and talk about doing something and then this leads to more planning meetings which are funded through grants and then the results are to put adds in newspapers or to have these awareness spots on the radio. We are all aware of the problem and We are tired of funding going behind these programs that dont ever actually do anything. We see that some want to let everyone know that they are working with other counties to bring addiction treatment facilities to our area but never mention working with or organization and more and likely nothing will never come from their talks. We had 11 men wake up sober this morning at New Beginnings with no one ever failing a drug screen. We are now going to have a womens home open very soon also that will house over 20 women. We have daily and weekly classes to help those struggling and we are also helping families of addicts. We help people get into treatment on daily or weekly basis. We work with the court system. We do in home family interventions. We work with many many pastors with their congregation that are struggling. We have folks coming to our meetings from counties all around weekly. We are supported by donations alone and count on you to help us. Please consider donating to an organization that is actually doing something. Too many years of talk and politics and nothing been done. Thank you for putting up with my rant and I dont rant very often.
