If you were expecting the Grammys to award their trophies on skill and lyrical content and importance to hip hop culture you are a fool. And if your anger is aimed at Macklemore, then you are misguided. If you understand how thoroughly The Heist dominated airplay in 2013 vs. how little GKMC did, and you understand how Grammys are decided, then you understand why the awards went the way they did. GKMC didnt have one single that could compare in terms of re-playability or popularity to a broad audience. Now, if were talking about which album I listened to on repeat more, then thats a whole different award. Which album or rapper is better? Totally different argument. The real issue is not who won what, its why do we care so much about who won when we know the criteria for such awards is so critically flawed? Boycott the Grammys and maybe theyll change, or learn how their game is played and dont be surprised. Dont hate the player, hate the game. Rant out/
