If you were told that you would be given 7 million dollars, - TopicsExpress

If you were told that you would be given 7 million dollars, totally free, and could keep 3.5 million if you signed a contract saying you would give the other half away, what would you do? Would you say, No thanks, I would rather not have to part with 3.5 million to keep only the same amount. I would rather not have any of it as to have to GIVE it away like that! Would you try to keep the entire 7 million all for yourself, say that you were the one given and its your choice to keep it or not? Would you be selfish and say But I need it more. They just gave it to me because they could see I would do the right thing. And the right thing is obviously to use it myself. Nobody needs me to give this out as bad as I needed it already. Or would you do what was asked of you, and be 3.5 million dollars richer than you were? If you did the first, second, or third options, dont you think that the person who was so generously giving you the 3.5 million to keep for yourself would be mad and take you to court to get the money back from you? Why would they let you greedily hoard up the money they FREELY gave to you? They probably wouldnt be so generous to you when they found out you couldnt be trusted to do the right thing. Forgiveness is much, much more valuable than millions of dollars. And if you have been forgiven by God, you know what it really is. God knows how to forgive and does it the right way to set an example. He models what he wants to see in his children, Because he knows that some people on earth wont know what his forgiveness is until a person shows them. He knows that sometimes its not even the person you are forgiving that needs it the most, sometimes its those around who are watching your reaction. He gives it freely, because he wants you to show others that it can be given freely. No strings, no indian giving. No reminding them of how gracious youre being. Psalm 103:12. Some people are perceiving who Christ is by watching Christians. What kind of image are you giving him? (Romans 12:14-21) KJV 21Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses. Galatians 6:1-2 Amplified Bible (AMP) 6 Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also. 2 Bear (endure, carry) one another’s burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking [in your obedience to it]. James 4:17 KJV Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
