If you wouldve told me this day last year, that my Grandmother was about to take her last breath, I wouldve shot thru traffic, stopped any & everything that I was doing just to touch, smell, kiss, and hold her just one last time! It was like a knife going thru my heart, when my sister Tahira Dockery called me, I let my phone ring, cause I somewhat knew what my sister would say. I watched the cancer take her away slowly but fast. My woman of many questions, is what she called me. Id call her for everything, she was there for everything , when I was small, shed come & see me, instead of having my mom bring me to her. God I miss that woman so much! She stayed on the phone with me 18 years ago when I gave birth to my son Ahmere. I was so angry, and a bit bitter when she passed, but I could hear her tell me... Oh... Ny cut it out! I remember getting a message from my friend Tracy Abney. She didnt know but it really helped! Thanks again Tra! Im just so thankful that my grandmother was blessed to hold my youngest son Ayden, and has graced all four of my children. I pick up the phone as if shes still hear at times, but then I remember... One year later, the tears still run, and the pain still yet very fresh. If you have at least just one grandparent left hear on earth, love her or him like no other! #blessed
