If your opponent or enemy comes for peace or treaty or compromise, you must accept it and go for it without any hesitant. You dont have to judge their minds or intentions. Only Allah swt knows their minds. We will only rely on Allah swt. If they deceive us in future, Allah swt has promised to support us with his help and Army. So, if peace proposal comes, we accept it immediately. This is the demand of Islam. Allah swt says :- وَإِن جَنَحُواْ لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ وَإِن يُرِيدُواْ أَن يَخْدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللّهُ هُوَ الَّذِيَ أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing. But if they intend to deceive you – then sufficient for you is Allah. It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers..........(8:61-62)
