If youre a WIC mom, you have two choices for feeding your baby: breastfeed, or give Gerber formula products (or some combination of the two if you have supply issues) because WIC *only* contracts with Gerber in GA. The following illustrates that you CANNOT trust a company who has PROFITS as their interest to TELL YOU THE TRUTH. This is the reason why WIC HIGHLY ENCOURAGES breastfeeding, and only provides formula as a last resort so that babys dont starve. Breastfeeding and Formula are NOT equal and NOT similar, no matter how many claims the formula companies make. Its either Genetically modified soy, or Cow milk from a COW, and you did not have a CALF LOL. Ok, rant over! The Federal Trade Commission has charged Gerber Products Co., also doing business as Nestlé Nutrition, with deceptively advertising that feeding its Good Start Gentle formula to infants with a family history of allergies prevents or reduces the risk that they will develop allergies. The agency also alleges that Gerber has falsely advertised Good Start Gentle’s health claims as FDA-approved.
