If youre a sensitive wee thing, stop reading NOW. Went for a Personal Warrant of Fitness today. They couldnt find my file...turns out its been a few days more than 4 years, since I saw a doctor...they had demoted me to inactive! Nice way to be thought of...but practically speaking, it meant I had lost my frequent user status, under which I get a discounted consult charge... So, good health comes at a cost, it would seem.. Anyways...general discussion on how I am feeling. Check height/weight//lungs/heart. And then the biggie...the Prostate check Rightio, clothes off and cover your bits with this gown he says. Nah, dont need that. I aint bashful Oh, youre assuming Im not? says he...lol Up on the bed, legs apart...eyes shut; think of Mother England... Ive never before, had a bloke put a finger up my bum...well, not that I can remember anyway ;) With a quick rotation of his digit, it was all over before I could let out a breath. Silence. Gulp. So, whats the verdict? says I. Oh. Um, youre all good. I always like to let my patients ponder the alternative for a moment...helps them to focus on how good their life really is... Interesting bugger. Lab tests tomorrow at 0700 after a 12 hour fast except for water...got an hour left to have a wine & feed...Ill update next Tuesday arvo...:)
