If youre craving that age old traditional breakfast of fried eggs on toast, here are some things to be mindful off when trying to loss weight or keep your cholesterol in check: Eggs contain a very high fat content. When striving for health, one wants to maintain a daily level of 25% or less in fat. The breakfast pictured here is two fried eggs (large), a slice of Daves Killer Bread (60 calorie thin slice), and 2 oz JennyO Turkey Breakfast Sausage. Youll see from the chart next to it a graph of the percentage of fat in this meal compared to Gross Carbs and Protein. Wow!!!! And that whole 2 oz of sausage has less fat than 1 egg! Do this is what I made for breakfast and the fat seems fairly out of balance. How do I make this a better day?? Easy.... The remainder of my day I will be ingesting plenty of healthy slow burning carbs like Zucchini, Arugula, and many more tasty veggies, some lean, reduced fat proteins like Organic Hemp Protein in shakes and smoothies, skinless chicken or turkey, and tofu. How can I keep away from adding more fat to my day? Avoid butters and oil, refrain from eating nuts, and pay attention to your cheeses! Use Almond Milk or Low Fat Milk. No fatty creamers.
