Anything less is inadequate. Christian ethics doesn’t have its basis solely in the law of God, in consequences, or in the goodness of God. Instead, Christian ethics starts in the being of the Trinitarian God who is Love. Really interesting thought. Its easy to choose a singular view of God to inform your view of what is good/right/virtuous, and I totes appreciate the challenge to round out my view of what is ethical based on a Trinitarian perspective.
