If youre reading through Luke-Acts with us in 2014, we are reading chapter 11 this week. Here are some questions for reflection: 1) The disciples ask Jesus to teach them how to pray, and he offers them a prayer to pray, and the advice to persevere in prayer. How do you pray? What do Jesus words mean to you? Do you find perseverance in prayer to be beneficial? Why or why not? 2) People demand that Jesus bring a sign from heaven in order to test him. Yet, he does not offer a sign when he casts out a demon. He offers up Jonah as the sign. What do you think Jesus mean here? 3) The rest of chapter 11 is filled with words about the interior of a person. Are you clean on the outside and the inside? Do you present a clean exterior, but have a dirty interior? Does light shine from within you, or if people looked inside your soul, would they find darkness? As we move into the third week of Lent, what is the state of your soul?
