The band is a potent example of the redeeming power of music and the ability of the human spirit to persevere through unimaginable hardship and emerge with optimism intact. From their humble beginnings in West African refugee camps Sierra Leones Refugee All Stars have performed on some of the worlds most prestigious stages and matured into one of Africas top touring and recording bands. With the ebola outbreak in West Africa, the band has once again found themselves to be refugees here in the States until the current crisis is over. The SLRAs have decided to make the best use of their time in helping others – they have picked the organization Doctors Without Borders who are working in West Africa to combat this disease, as their beneficiary of this tour.
