If youre thinking of watching that horrid movie The Interview, forget about it and watch this great film instead. This is a wonderful North Korean movie I recently watched called The Flower Girl. Its about a poor family exploited by a brutal landlord family in 1930s Japanese-ruled Korea. The main character is a girl who has to take care of her ill mother and blind sister by selling flowers on the street. Her dad is dead and her brother has been imprisoned by the Japanese. Her mom, though ill and weak, is forced to work for the landlord. The family and their village suffer the cruelty of the landlord and his wife until things come to a boiling point and they rise up in revolution against the landlords and their Japanese backers.
