If youre thinking this is not in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, youre mistaken. I witnessed this real-time about a year ago on courthouse square in Scranton, with surprising results. The victim, a young white fellow who could handle himself a little, saw it coming and evaded most of the impact and struck back himself only to find himself set upon by the rest of the gang. Fortunately for him, guys around the Hardware Bar and sitting in the square ran over, maybe to help, maybe to watch, and the gang decided to run. You may not be so lucky. Think it cant happen to you? Yeah, right! Thats why the Steamtown Mall is hurting. Its home to riff raff and has witnessed muggings and car-jackings in the not to distant past. Dont wait, dont think, just shoot em down.
