If youve been following the news or paying attention youll know that honey bee populations are crashing. Pay a little more attention and youll know that Monarch butterflies are also being wiped out. Why? Evidence is pointing at Monsanto and the genetically modified crops that have taken over in this country. A personal observance, when I was a kid on the 4th of July wed get a jar and go out in the yard and catch lightning bugs. The yard was full of them. Go look in your yard or out in the fields now. Do you see many lightning bugs? I dont. Very few in fact. Ive had a Harley since I was 16 and I pretty much dreaded riding at dusk because the corn borers (moths) were so thick it was like riding in a snowstorm. Guess what? Not now. Corn borers are are almost nonexistent. The government wants to tax our electricity for the made up crises called global warming and yet, Obama signed a bill recently to protect Monsanto from all lawsuits. Hmmmm. All our politicians are on the payroll of the corporations so calling them is worthless. So what can we do? Quit buying anything from Monsanto. Grow your own garden from heirloom seeds. Dick Durbin (D IL) introduced a bill that virtually makes it illegal to grow a garden-hmm. Dont buy processed junk food. Buy your meat from the local farmer who feeds non GMO feed and no hormones and have it processed at your local locker. Raise chickens in your backyard. And while youre at it buy some silver and take your money out of the bank.
