If youve been told by a qualified health pro that you are overweight & for health reasons need to lose weight – please remember that the focus is on health, and when health is the focus, weight-loss simply comes as a nice bonus. Obsessing over your weight, though, could be counterproductive. This doesnt mean you shouldnt prioritize it in some way – but weight should not necessarily be your number one priority, per se. Start first by focusing on healthy, leaner (but definitely not starvation) - eating based on plenty of whole fruits and vegetables blended with moving more/sitting less (I can see a Fitbit pedometer in your pocket now!). Those are the foundations of a healthy weight along with good sleep, good friends, a supportive environment in the home for healthy eating, and good smiles so MAKE it a GREAT Reality meets Science DAY!
