If you’d asked political experts two weeks ago, they’d have said with absolute certainly that this year, Republicans will run against Obamacare and Democrats will run a populist campaign on the minimum wage. None predicted Russia might play a role. But in the face of the White House’s weak response to Vladimir Putin’s military moves, it’s as if someone has ripped the media’s blinders off. Even the Washington Post editorialized that Obama’s foreign policy is based on fantasy and wishful thinking. And the leftwing magazine The New Republic admitted that when Mitt Romney said Russia is our number one geopolitical foe because they back all the worst actors like Syria and Iran, he got it ”exactly right.” Now, suddenly, the experts are predicting we’ll see campaign ads filled with clips of Obama mocking Romney’s warning about Russia as a “cold war mind-warp.” You know, Sarah Palin gave the same warning in 2008 and was mocked even worse. Any so-called experts want to predict when the New Republic will admit SHE was right? - by Mike Huckabee
